1992-2004 — Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Omsk Academic Symphony Orchestra, one of the finest orchestras in Russia. The honorary title "Academic" was awarded to the orchestra in 1996. 1990-1992 — Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the finest symphony orchestras in the Ukraine. 1983-1990 — Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Prymorsky TV & Radio Station, Vladivostok, Russia. For the past two decades, Evgeny Shestakov has been touring extensively as a guest-conductor of symphony and chamber orchestras in Great Britain, Brazil, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Macedonia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Evgeny Shestakov has frequently conducted the major Russian orchestras, including the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia in Moscow (former Music Director and Chief Conductor Evgeny Svetlanov, current Music Director and Chief Conductor Mark Gorenstein); Novosibirsk Academic Philharmonic Orchestra (Music Director and Chief Conductor: Arnold Kats); Ural Academic Philarmonic Orchestra in Ekaterinburg (Music Director and Chief Conductor Dmitry Liss); the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra of Moscow and many others. Evgeny Shestakov's repertoire consists of well-known and widely performed chamber and symphonic repertoire from the eighteenth and twentieth centuries and of rarely performed works by composers of the twentieth century.
