 | In season 2007-2008 Moscow State Academic Philarmony brings the new season ticket: "The Stars of XXI Century". Undoubtedly, the best Russian orchestras, conductors and soloists have been brought together for this program. Evgeny Shestakov was conducting the Evgeny Svetlanov's State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia, soloists: Graf Murzha (violin), Rem Urasin (piano). The concert has great success in Moscow. Hall-full in BHC, and long, never-ending applause of the audience thanking the orchestra, conductor, and soloists for truly unique, "star" mastery, highest professionalism, excellent ensemble of the orchestra, conductor, and soloists, and deep emotional expression of all participants of the concert. The orchestral fantasia "Night on bald mountain" by M Musorgsky and N.R. Korsakov sounded unbelievably bright, individually, with a broad palette of timbres and orchestral colours. |
 | Once per season, Sverdlovsk State Academic Philarmony and Ural Philarmony Orchestra give the unique concert. Members of Orchestra's Public Council, volunteers, and permanent holders of season tickets create the programme (!!!) which is to be played by their beloved orchestra. The classics of 19-20 centuries included all the variety of orchestral popular music! Performing that kind of music requires the highest mastery, emotional and technical flawlessness from both the orchestra and the conductor. This time the orchestra and the conductor have perfectly "solved" all the tasks. The creators of the programme, being the audience, gave never-ending applause to the orchestra and conductor Evgeny Shestakov for the festival of high symphony art and mastery. |
 | This concert had great success among listeners, as well as among Moscow critics. The most authoritative Russian newspaper in the field of culture and fine art "The Culture" published a review in the issue of March 16, 2006. The author of the review writes that conductor Evgeny Shestakov has a perfect sense of the nerve, characteristicity, grotesquerie of Shostakovich's music. Experienced conductor managed to demonstrate his bright, solid interpretation. The critic also points that in Prokofiev's music, the moments of mystical atmosphere and intricate play of transiencies sounded especially well, with powerful and courageous final. Mastery of Evgeny Shestakov made it possible for metropolitan listeners to experience the true pleasure of Prokofiev's music. And in the issue of May, 2006 of specialized magazine "Musical life" there was published another review of this concert where it is told that it was namely Evgeny Shestakov who helped to disclose the true nature of Shestakovich's and Prokofiev's music. Participation of Evgeny Shestakov in this program was undoubtedly conductive to excellent artistic result of the concert. World famous, staying in great professional and creative form, Evgeny Svetlanov's State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia, conducted by Evgeny Shestakov, sounded not just stable well but with full involving into music and true emotional splash. |
